Florence is a registered Agricultural Engineer employed by the National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) as a Senior Research Officer. Florence has worked with NARO for over 20 years, serving in various capacities. Besides her core core work in NARO, She has served her profession in different capacities, both at the Engineers Registration Board and the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers. Florence has also served Gayaza High School and GOGA in various capacities. She is passionate about mentoring young scientists, building their research leadership and management capacities.

Florence attended Gayaza High School from 1984 to 1990 and lived in Corby House.
