We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the generous contributions you have made and continue to make towards building this administration block. The grand opening and commissioning of the building took place on 29th July 2023.

Background

In 2015, Old Girls of Gayaza High School decided to build a bigger and modern staffroom. The current staffroom was built in the 1960s to accommodate about 30 staff members, but now the school has over 75 Teachers. Those who cannot find seats in the room carry chairs to the well-manicured lawn outside, or sit under the tree to do their work.

The staffroom Extension

The staffroom building extension will start with the current staffroom and extend to the surrounding grounds. It is estimated to accommodate at least 120 staff members.
 Over 100 staff work stations.
 A Study room for 6 teachers.
 Offices for 3 Deans and a Headmistress.
 A Staff nursing room combined with baby day-care room.
 Adequate toilets and showers.
 A lounge with extended veranda overlooking the chapel.
 Each teacher will have a pigeonhole where students can post their work.
