Rebecca attended Gayaza High School for six years(2004 to 2009). She resided in Corby, Rhoda Nsibambi and Mary Stuart in A level.

While there, she served as a Deputy Headgirl 2008/2009. Her performance was top tier and therefore was able to make it back to Gayaza on merit and offered Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Foods, and Nutrition.

Ms. Ssubi pursued a Bachelors Degree in Food Science and Technology at Makerere University on government sponsorship. She is currently a practicing professional Nutritionist, and Food Technologist. After being trained in several nutrition aspects at Mwanamugimu in Mulago Hospital, Rebecca went on to work on short term basis with UNICEF, UNHCR and WFP before landing a job with AMREF where she worked till 2017.

Due to her desire to start multiple projects, She went back to school and did a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management and graduated in 2019. She began working on her nutritional projects with the skills She’d attained both from her work experience and formal as well as informal education.

Rebecca serves the Lord through music, she was part of the chapel choir as well as Girls of Faith and ended up recording a mini Album entitled ‘Sounds of Heaven’.

She has always dreamt of recording the beautiful Choir of Gayaza High School singing Classical music led by Mrs Geria but has not been able to do it. She however got a bit of that dream come to pass in her new EP (mini album). She managed to get the sound of an orchestra, 4 beautiful choral prayer and worship songs and asked none other than our dear Mrs Geria to direct and train the ladies that sung in the choir of Sounds of Heaven. All the voices in this Album passed through Gayaza, either in high school or Junior School.

In a nut shell, Rebecca is a devoted and talented lady as you will experience when you listen to her album entitled “Sounds of Heaven”
